Updated 12/27/2020 – Everyone wants to know if they can visit Napa Valley or Sonoma during the Covid19 pandemic on Christmas & New Year holidays? Well, the hard truth is that until Jan 9th, 2021, both Napa Valley & Sonoma Counties are in strict Shelter In Place order from the State or California. This means that Wineries are not allowed to do wine tastings indoors or outdoors. They can only provide take out orders which must be consumed offsite. Restaurants have similar restrictions. Spas are completely closed. Hotels, Airbnb, and camping sites, etc are not allowed to take overnight reservations from visitors, they can only host essential workers. Shops and malls are still open but with a strict 20% reduced capacity. Our best advice during this difficult time is to simply not visit Napa Valley & Sonoma so that spikes in Covid cases can be brought down to manageable levels. With everyone’s help, we can quickly get back to normal faster.
